“This is a good school. It fully reflects its Christian ethos and provides a good education for all its pupils.”

Ofsted Inspection Report October 2008.

“You give the children a very high standard of education, embracing the wonderful place we live in and make them feel safe and confident in their own abilities. The smiling faces in the playground say it all”

Response to 2010 Parents’ Questionnaire.

"Sticklands is a good school. All groups of pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2 achieve well. This is because of good teaching, a creative curriculum and rigorous tracking of pupils’ progress. Children in the Early Years Foundation Stage make particularly good progress because of outstanding provision."

Ofsted Inspection Report Janaury 2012

At Stickland's we provide a high quality learning environment to help each of our children to develop as a self-motivated and independent learner.

Our children will be involved in planning a creative and stimulating curriculum which will provide a variety of opportunities for them to learn new skills and to develop an understanding of the world in which we live.

Children will leave the school demonstrating a Christian ethos that includes a tolerance and understanding of their own faith and that of others.

As a Church of England school, Stickland's has a distinctive Christian ethos which runs through the life of the school. We encourage children to explore spirituality and to develop a knowledge and understanding of their own faith and other faiths.

The school will help children to develop as happy, caring, respectful and confident members of the community.

Our children will be able to articulate views and opinions whilst remaining well mannered and considerate, listening to and respecting the views of others.

In an atmosphere of security and mutual respect, children will work together to learn to value each other as individuals and to develop their own self-esteem.
